The Marine Science Consortium invites you to go beyond the wild blue yonder and discover one of the Eastern Shore’s most enchanting landscapes: the night sky. In this recreational workshop, adults and kids will learn astronomy together through a series of engaging lectures, hands-on activities and guided observation. During the workshop you will be introduced to; the prominent star patterns of the season, the different types of celestial objects, where you are in the universe and lore and legends of the stars. The workshop will end with an after sunset cruise on the Consortium’s research vessel to identify constellations. The instructors will take a non-technical approach to the material. No prior astronomy knowledge or experience is required. Equipment is provided.

Cost: $10/ adults and $7 Children (9 & up). Registration required.
