Make Waves: Become a Friend of MSC

Welcome To MSC

The Board of Directors and staff for The Marine Science Consortium (MSC) would like to thank everyone who supports our mission and efforts to provide quality educational programs and experiences for the thousands of people who visit and study with us each year. We will consider everyone who supports MSC as a ‘Friend’ and eligible to receive benefits.

‘Friends’ include our annual members, folks who contribute to the year-end appeal, event sponsors, campership contributors and more. Please be as generous as you can. Just as a stone dropped into a pool makes ripples, so to does your donation create movement and change in MSC. Your support is critical in sustaining the quality of programming that MSC offers. Help us Share the story of Marine and Coastal environments.

Please consider a gift to The Marine Science Consortium and join our mission to offer outstanding educational and research opportunities that celebrate the rich natural and cultural resources of the mid-Atlantic Coastal region.

Each year, thousands of people participate in MSC’s field-based programs designed to educate and inspire. Because of what they have learned, they are taking better care of the natural world that surrounds us all.

But, we can't do it alone. The Coastal Ecology Program, our remarkable environmental education program for children, costs more than $8,000 for each class that attends. This makes it difficult for all students in a school to be able to attend with their class. Contributions from caring donors like you can make it possible for all children to attend The Coastal Ecology Program, regardless of their ability to pay.

Here is what your generous gift can accomplish:

- $75 would provide Coastal Ecology Program journals for an entire classroom.

- $269 could pay for one child to attend The Coastal Ecology Program for three days and three nights.

- $599 Pays for one teenager to participate in this summer’s Marine Biology Field Camps.

- $675 Provides a meals and lodging scholarship for a deserving college student to take a 3 credit hour, 3 week-long summer course.
