...hands-on, feet-wet education
Welcome to Family Fun Fridays! These day workshops are for curious children and their inquisitive guardians (Guardians must attend program with children). Kids will discover the unique marine habitats of the Eastern Shore and the interesting creatures that live in them. Classes include hands-on activities, games, fieldwork and active observation of Marine Animals! Children will gain an understanding and appreciation of the natural world around them. Programs geared toward children age 7 and up unless otherwise stated.
There’s nothing fishy about this great opportunity! Ever wondered exactly how fish affect their ecosystems and how ecosystems impact fish? Or how people and fish influence each other? During this workshop, participants will try to answer these questions as they discover the world of fish through hands on activities like seining and sieving for organisms in tidal creeks, and more!
Time: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Cost: $15 per person (cost includes instruction, snacks, transportation to field site and equipment)
