Location

The Marine Science Consortium is located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia near the Island of Chincoteague. It is about three hours south of Baltimore, MD and Washington D.C. and about two hours north of Norfolk, VA.

To get to the Marine Science Consortium, follow Route 13 (also called Ocean Highway or Lankford Highway) to the traffic signal at Virginia Route 175 E (Chincoteague Road), which is approximately 4 miles south of the Maryland-Virginia border on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Drive about 2.5 miles on Route 175 E. Just after passing the junction with Route 679 at Wattsville, turn left onto Route 798 (Mill Dam Road). If you come upon the NASA Visitor Center on the right-hand side of Route 175 E, you have missed the turn onto Route 798.

Just before the NASA main gate for the Goddard Flight Facility, turn left (don't go through the gate to your right). Watch for our sign.
