College Summer Courses - Application Information
University and college courses are offered in four 3-weeks sessions from mid-May to August. Each course is three credits. A student may take only one course per session. Courses are listed on the Sessions & Courses page. Students of member universities must register for credit through the Director at their home institution. Students of non-member universities may apply through one of the member universities and should acquire approval for transfer of credits with their own institution BEFORE registering with that member university.
To register for classes at the Marine Science Consortium, you must submit the registration materials to the MSC advisor at the University/College through which your will be registering. The advisor MUST sign this registration form before you will be accepted into any classes at the MSC. This form, a college transcript, your deposit(s), and a self-addressed, stamped business envelope must then be sent to the MSC for initial registration. Course deposits are $100.00 for the first class and $50.00 for each additional class. Deposits will be applied to the $675.00 fee for each MSC course. The initial deposit is non-refundable and an additional $200 deposit is due by April 20. Make check or money order payable to the Marine Science Consortium, Inc.
Students MUST Submit two applications and pay two separate fees:
1. An application to the member university, to which tuition will be remitted for credit.
2. An application to the MSC for enrollment courses (includes registration form, college transcript, your deposit(s), and a self-addressed stamped envelope), to which a fee of $675.00 will be remitted for course costs, meals, and lodging. A $100.00 non-refundable registration deposit for the first course, and a $50.00 registration deposit for each additional course, is required. These deposits will be applied toward the basic $675.00 MSC fee. The initial deposit is non-refundable and an additional $200 deposit is due by April 20. Make check or money order payable to the Marine Science Consortium.
