2012 College Summer Sessions Registration Information

Housing reservations and payment are made directly to the Marine Science Consortium.Course registration and payment is made through the teaching faculty's university. If you plan to take classes offered by an instituition other than your home University, you will need to complete a Transient Student, Transfer or Visiting Student Form (depending on their home university and status) and submit the completed form to registrar of the University hosting the course.

STEPS FOR REGISTRATION

1. Read the course description, syllabus and notes. Make sure that you are eligible for the class you are able to attend all class days you are aware of extra fees or equipment requirements

2. Fill in the Intent Form for the course. Links to these forms can be found on the course description or schedule pages. Each course is linked to a unique form.

3. Most likely, the course professor will contact you around February 15th to confirm.

4. Once registration for summer quarter is open at the relevant univeristy, enroll in the course.

5. If the course is offered by a univeristy other than your home university, complete all parts of either the Transient Student, Visiting Student or appropriate transfer credit Form (this will usually include a submission to your HOME University's registrar for permission) and submit this form to the Registrar of the University where you wish to take a course. If you are currently enrolled at a PASSHE school and registering at another PASSHE school, complete a Visiting Student form and send it to the registrar as soon as possible. The submitted visiting student form will aid in registration for that course. At some Universities, the form itself will enroll students, while at other Universities an additional form, or other steps may be required. Read school-specific steps on host university websites carefully.  If you are not enrolled at a PASSHE school and plan to take a course at a PASSHE school, complete the appropriate transfer of credit form at your home university and submit it to the registrar prior to registration.

6.  Reserve housing and meals with MSC. This step will be available after February 15th.
