Marine Science Summer Day Camp 9-11 yrs old

The Marine Science Consortium is offering 2 weeks of Marine Science Summer Day Camps for children age 9-11 on the Eastern Shore. These Marine Science based classes are fun and interactive. Each day has a different coastal theme. Kids play games, do crafts, take field trips and watch videos based around the theme of the day. Day camp weeks are divided by age range. Lunch and Snacks are included. Space is Limited.
 
Camp Activities Include
• Seining/dip netting
• Nature trail hikes
• Scientific field journals
• Marine Science Boat Trip
• Field trips to discover coastal environments
• Live animal interactions
• Beach exploration
• Camp-themed crafts

 Explore the coastal habitats that surround us! Campers will...
...get their feet wet dip netting and seining in Tom’s Cove estuary.
...collect tiny plankton and observe them under the microscope.
...investigate the beach, learning about sand and sea shells
Venture into our coastal ecosystems, during this week of exciting, hands-on scientific discovery!!
